Alnis Stakle

Alnis Stakle (1975) lives and works in Latvia. He holds a Ph.D. in Art education from Daugavpils University in Latvia.

He has widely exhibited his works since 1998, including at such locations as the Chelsea Art Museum in New York (USA), the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid (Spain), Modern Art Oxford (UK), the Langhans Gallery Prague (Czechoslovakia), the Carlos Merida Museum of Modern Art in Guatemala, Gallery.Photographer.ru (Russia), the ‘Gostiny Dvor’ Museum and Exhibition Complex in Archangelsk, the Tyumen Regional Museum of Fine Arts, the Krasnoyarsk Cultural Historical Museum Complex, the State Russian Museum and Exhibition Centre ROSPHOTO in St. Petersburg (Russia), the Contemporary Art Museum in Santo Domingo (Spain), the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Latvian Museum of Photography, the Latvian National Museum of Art and, The Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art.

Stakle`s works have been included in the magazines Shots (UK/USA), Eyemazing (Netherlands), RA Magazine (UK), Source (Ireland), Foto Kvartals (Latvia), Studija (Latvia), Camera Austria (Austria), The Room (Hungary), Photography Now (Germany), Kvartalnik Fotografia (Poland), Leica Photography International (Germany) and others.

Stakle`s work is included in the art collections of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, the Latvian Museum of Photography and the Thessalonica Museum of Photography in Greece.
Alnis Stakle has been a member of Agency.Phptographer.ru since 2006 and an author of Gallery.Photographer.ru since 2007.
