Anton Koslov Mayr took part in the exhibition “New York – the city that never sleeps”. The project curators were Andrew Martinov, the executive director of Moscow Biennale, and Jennifer Draker, an American photographer. The exhibition opened in Omsk and, throughout next year, will be presented in five Russian cities as well as in Germany and France. Photographers from USA, France, Italy, Spain and Russia will take part in the exhibition.
Koslov Mayr is presented with the project “In the shadow of Trump Empire”, devoted to the American billionaire Donald Trump. The project was planed as a book and is divided into two parts. The first is a documentation of the Trump Empire, Trump’s books, goods produced under the auspices of Trump, and newspaper remarks about Trump. This part possesses a strongly pronounced character of conceptual installation. The second part features photographs of everyday people on the streets, finding themselves directly within the precincts of influence of Trump’s toponymy and urbanistics.
The works from this part of the project, 20 photographs taken as street images, are especially shown at the exhibit.
