Gallery Photographer.ru is to collaborate with photographer Sergey Chilikov and going to present him at Art-Moscow 2010.
Sergey Chilikov was born in 1953 and started photographing in 1970th. Very soon he became a leader of Nonconformist photography in his region. Together with a group of like-minded persons he managed to organize exhibitions and festivals and to deal quite peacefully with official Photosoyuses. In 1980-1989 is the organizer of the Analytical Photo Exhibitions (Yoshkar-Ola biennale) and annual open airs On Kundysh River. In 1988 participates in the final exhibition of the FACT group at the Na Kashirke exhibition hall (Moscow).
Since 1989 makes travel series on the Soviet Union cities. His series how hidden eroticism of countryside people that seems even more vital as it contrasts with depressive surrounding.
Participated in Rencontres d’Arles (2002), in Fashion and Style in Photography festival and Photobiennale (Moscow). Personal exhibitions were shown at the Moscow House of Photography in the framework of Y.Avvakumov’s project “24” (2002), at the Krokin Gallery (2004), XL Gallery (2005), Reflex Gallery (2006). His series were published in Le Monde, La Stampa, La Republica etc.
