With the XXth Century Buzzing Around Me

The exhibition “With the XXth century buzzing around me” is comprised of 70 photos
commemorating landmark events of Russia’s history from the beginning of the XX century to the
middle of the 1970s. Most of the images are exhibited for the fi rst time – for many years they have
been kept at the Russian State Documentary Film and Photo Archive away from the general public.
Each photo is unique – some were made with the use of the latest techniques and equipment
available at the day, and others let the viewer take a look at the well-familiar events from an
unusual angle.
