Since the 24th of August till the 16th of September the exhibition of winners and awardees of the World Press Photo 2012 is taking place in the art-space “Loft Project ETAZHI” in St-Petersburg. Among the authors noted during the largest international contest of photo-journalists there were the photographers from Grinberg Photos Yuri Kozyrev and Alexander Gronsky. The first won the 1st prize in the category “Hot news” with a single shot about the Libyan conflict (this was a shot from the series “On the way to Revolution”). The second won the 3rd prize within the category “Everyday life” with his series “Pastoral”, telling about the relationship of people and nature in the urban environment. 5247 photographers from 124 countries participated in the World Press Photo 2012. The exhibition summarizing the results of this competition has been brought to Russia during six years in succession by the fund “The Objective Reality”.
