Christopher Anderson’s book Capitolio is the first photography book to be released in electronic format for the iPhone and iPad.
It was Christopher Anderson himself who spearheaded this project: “When the first printing run of Capitolio was almost sold out, I considered what to do next. I did not want to print a second run – because of the high price and limited number of copies, it would have been accessible for only a few. That is why I decided to do an experiment.” Anderson hired a designer who had worked with this format before and they developed the layout together.
The electronic version of Capitolio also features some photos that are not included in the original, print edition and Christopher Anderson’s interview with the British director and photojournalist Tim Hetherington, who was nominated for Oscar last year for his movie Restrepo,and who was tragically killed on Wednesday, April 20 in Libia.
