Alexander Gronsky Wins Foam Paul Huf Award 2010

Simon Njami, independent curator, art critic, publicist and lecturer for San Diego University in California and chairman of the competition’s jury, commented on the winner of the competition: “Gronsky revives the tradition of documentary photography. He uses the ‘emotional removal’ narrative in his work, opening to us the whole world through classic photography techniques.”

The awards ceremony with a grand prize of 20,000 euro will be held in Amsterdam. Gronsky’s exhibit will also be shown from 27 August to 10 October 2010 at the Foam museum in Amsterdam.
