FOTO8 tells about Renda Effendi’s exhibit in the HOST London Gallery, which successfully took place as part of the Azerbaijani Culture and Art Festival in the British capital. As part of the exhibit Rena presented her project, narrating the lives of people from Baku, Tbilisi and Ceyhan, following the oil pipeline. The project shows the changes to life in these countries, affected by the development of the oil industry; the research of this problem was devoted to Rena Effendi’s book “Pipe Dreams. A Chronicle of Lives Along the Pipeline”, published in November 2009 by Dutch publisher “Schilt”.
The project will be shown in the course of 2010 not only in Britain but in other countries, in particular in Russia at the gallery Photographer.ru in the middle of February of this year.
