Ladeyschikov is an honoured photographer who has given many exhibitions, but who at one point was not understood and disappeared from the artistic circuit for a long time. From the late 60’s and up until the very collapse of the Soviet Union, the most interesting things in photography all happened among amateurs. There was an extensive network of photography clubs (amateur photographers’ societies), which held underground and semi-underground exhibitions, exchanged materials and travelled to visit one another. One of the most prominent groups of this kind was in Yoshkar-Ola and was called Fact. Ladeyschikov joined the group in 1986.
