Julia Malinina

Yulia Malinina was born in a town called Skhodnya near Moscow. In 2001 she graduated with honors from the Year 1905 Moscow Academic College of Arts, in 2007 – from the Surikov Moscow Academic Art Institute (Tatyana Nazarenko’s workshop). In 2007 she interned at Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin). In 2008 she joined the Moscow Union of Artists. In 2011 she joined the faculty of the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow.

Yulia Malinina is a prolific painter and graphic artist who has been exhibiting in Russia and abroad since 2001. The artist’s works are held in private collections in Russia and abroad. She is a winner of the Gold Medal awarded by the Russian Academy of Fine Arts and a recipient of the Russian Ministry of Culture’s fellowship.
