On February, 2 Julie Saul Gallery (New York) announces the exhibition of three powerful ad enigmatic photographers who came of age in post war Europe – Miroslav Tichý, Gerard Petrus Fieret and Nikolay Bakharev, the author of the Gallery.Photographer.ru. Each of them has created very personal and idiosyncratic works shaped by a particular political environment.
Nikolay Bakharev is the youngest and only living of the artists represented in the exposition. He’s also the least well known to American audiences of the group, but in summer 2011 hBakharev’s works were featured at the Ostalgia exhibition in New York devoted to the nostalgia for the lifestyle of the country in 1970s – 1980s.
The exhibition will last till March, 17.
