Nikolay Bakharev

Nikolay Bakharev was born in 1946 in Mikhailovka village, in Altai Region of Russia. His parents died when he was 4 years old. Since that age he lived in orphanage till 16 when he started to work as a mechanic at a metallurgy plant. He stopped it when he began to photograph. He permanently lives in West-Siberia in Novokuznetsk city (Kemerovo Region) and earns his living by photographing privately. He participated in a number of exhibitions in Russia and abroad, since 1991 he is a member of Photographer’s Union of Russia.
